You Are Never Too Old to Dance - Bollywood Style
The Northern Region Seniors’ Association (Inc.) Vic. -- NRISA, had its annual function based on the 3-Generations union theme on 12 September 2009, at the Preston Town Hall. The program began with Australian and Indian National Anthems followed by many dance items and a magic show.

Community service award was presented by NRISA President, Prof. Santosh Kumar, to Cr. Diana Asmar, the Mayor of the City of Darebin.
Award Presentation-2
Community service award was presented by NRISA PRO, Mr. Sushil Sharma, to Ms. Anita Nayar, India’s Consul General in Melbourne.
Award Presentation-3
Community service award was presented by NRISA Secretory, Mr. Rajender Chopra to Mr. George Lekakis the Chairman of the Victorian Multicultural Commission.
Award Presentation-4
Community service award was presented by NRISA Vice President Prof. Nalin Sharda, to Mr. Lalit Unadkat, a distinguished Indian seniors’ community member.

Community service award was presented by NRISA Treasurer, Mr. Bill Gupta, to Mr. Parag Mody, a distinguished member of the Indian community in Melbourne.
Chak De India Dance
To demonstrate that one is never too old to dance, the NRISA executive committee members and some of the ladies performed the famous Chak De India dance number. Later all guests joined in, and danced to many Bollywood tunes. All in all, it was an excellent opportunity to fulfil the NRISA mission to facilitate healthy body, mind and spirit for its members.
