Bus trip to Warburton
The Northern Region Indian Seniors’ Association (NRISA) took a bus trip to Warburton on 28th Feb 2010.
It was fun trip which included singing and the game of Antakshiri on the bus and at the venue. Starting around 9.25 (five minutes ahead of scheduled time) the bus full of fun-loving seniors, and some younger family and friends, arrived at Warburton by 11.30, and headed straight for the top of Mount Donna Buong.
The peak was shrouded in mist that obscured its panoramic view, but created a mystique of its own, like in the old Hindi movie Kohra (mist), which most of us would have seen many decades ago.
A sumptuous lunch was served at the grounds near the iconic Swing-bridge in the Story Reserve. Some more Antakshri and singing in the bright sunlight, followed by card tricks, kept all mesmerized.
On the way back, a stop-over near a lake was used by the NRISA Cardio Exercise Group to present the famous dance “Jhoom Barabar Jhoom”. On the return journey each member said something or presented an item, such as poem, song or a joke.
The trip was a resounding success and members asked for more such trips.
