Topic: Creating Multimedia Documents
Multimedia content can include:
Text: Plain text, formatted text, and Hypertext
Still images: Photographs and drawings etc.
Moving Images: Movies with or without audio, and animation etc.
Audio: Digitised waveform (.wav), compressed waveform (.mp3), music audio (.mid)
Document can be: A word processing file (.doc), PowerPoint file (.ppt), Web page (.htm, .html, .asp) etc.
To create a multimedia document:
Step-0: Open the document and place the cursor where you want to insert the media (e.g. a photo as a .jpg file)
Step-1: Open folder where the multimedia file is stored, and Copy (Ctrl + C) it.
Step-2: Go back to the document and Paste (Ctrl + V) it
Step-3: Format the content.
Generally you can open the formatting dialog box with the right mouse button. You can change the picture’s: Layout:
Text wrapping - In-line with text, Square, Tight, Behind text, In front of text
Size – hight, width, aspect ratio, rotation etc.
Picture - brightness, contrast etc.
